Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: Surgical Tech - Hybrid Endovascular
- Shift: 06:00 AM - 07:00 PM
- Specialty Focus: Vascular and Endovascular cases (not Cardiac OR)
- Must be able to scrub all vascular and endovascular cases independently
- Call Requirements:
- 1 weekend per month
- 1 weekday per week
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, per unit needs
- Floating: May be required to float within scope between like units
- Charting System: Epic
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience in Surgical Tech with endovascular experience
- First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- DORA (specific to Colorado)
- National Surgical Tech Certification (NBSTSA) if applicable
- State License: Colorado State License required within 60 days of start
- Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (confirm specifics)
On-Call and Scheduling
- On-call required: 1 weekend per month and 1 weekday per week
- Weekend shifts required as per unit needs
Special Requirements
- Must be able to cover emergency endovascular cases in a hybrid suite
- Focus is on vascular and endovascular procedures, no cardiac OR coverage
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- I9 or Attestation
- Driver’s License/State ID (clear copies front/back)
- E-Verify or Attestation
- Proof of Name Change if applicable
- Background Checks including:
- 7-year background check within 60 days of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check
- HHS/OIG check
- Education verification (3rd party or transcript/diploma)
- Employment Application and Work History Verification (last 3 years)
- References: 2 references from last 2 years, including one from last year, from charge RN, manager, or supervisor
- Skills Checklist (annual)
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA
- Fit Mask test within 12 months of start (specific mask types required)
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series or declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Flu vaccination or facility-specific exemption during flu season
- COVID vaccine or signed declination
- Drug Testing within 30 days of start and annually
- Color Blind Exam (Ishihara exam required prior to start; online testing not accepted)
Competency Exams (Must be current within 1 year)
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
- Competency Exam (minimum 80% score)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (for applicable units)
- Core Part I, II, III Exams (minimum 80% score)
- OSHA Mandatory Training (minimum 80% score)
Time Off (RTO) Policy
- Maximum 10 RTO days approved
- No RTO allowed during these blackout periods:
- March 14 – March 21, 2026
- May 8 – May 11, 2026
- May 21 – May 27, 2026
- June 28 – July 9, 2026
This position is ideal for Surgical Techs with vascular and endovascular experience looking for a travel contract in Colorado with a hybrid schedule and on-call responsibilities.
