Job Opportunity: RN - Day Surgery/Procedures (Preop/Postop - Phase 2)

Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide nursing care for patients in Pre-op and Post-op Phase II/Procedures within the Day Surgery Unit.
Plan and coordinate quality nursing care following ANA Standards of Nursing Practice.
Collaborate with clinical personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.
Support the clinical area's philosophy, goals, and shared governance vision.
Assist with transition from Meditech to Epic EMR system during assignment.
Must be available for evening and weekend call rotations.

Requirements

Specialty: Nursing (Day Surgery/Procedure/IV Infusion - excluding Chemotherapy)
Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years RN experience in Day Surgery/Procedure/IV Infusion and PACU/CCU experience.
Graduate of an accredited or state board-approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.
Current Colorado RN license in good standing.
Certifications required before start: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association).
Flu vaccine required (no exemptions).
Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required.

Additional Information

Radius rule: Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles away from the facility.
Certifications needed: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS.

This position is ideal for experienced RNs with a background in day surgery and post-anesthesia care, comfortable with EMR transitions and flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends.
