Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (CVOR) - Midland, Texas
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (CVOR)
- Location: Midland, Texas
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 5x8 hour shifts (FIRM)
- Call: Required
- Start Date: Preferred within the next 3-5 weeks
- Average Caseload: 10-15 patients per day
- Return to Office (RTO): 7-10 days can typically be accommodated if time is made up at the end of the contract
Experience Requirements

- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course): Required for ER
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring): Preferred for L&D (Intermediate or Advanced AWHONN)
- NIH Stroke Certification: Required for all clinical positions (not required for Allied)
- Chemotherapy Certification: Required as applicable
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course): Required as applicable
- Tech Certification Verification: Required within 30 days of start for applicable allied roles (e.g., Cath Lab Tech, CVOR Tech, Radiology Tech, etc.)
- State License Verification: Required within 30 days of start
- NURSYS Verification: Required within 30 days of start for RN, LPN/LVN, AP
Required Training and Competencies
- Competency Exams: Medication/Pharmacology and Age-Specific Competency Exams required within 1 year of start
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement: Required and updated annually
Background and Compliance Checks
- 10-year Criminal Background Check required within 30 days of start (including SSN Trace, State, County)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal History Search required within 30 days prior to start
- Texas Employee Misconduct Registry and Employability Status Checks required within 30 days prior to start
- Education Verification and Transcript/Diploma required for CVOR and Cath Lab roles
- Confidentiality and Security Agreement, Drug Screening Consent, TB Questionnaire, and Compliance Checklist must be reviewed/signed prior to start
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start; must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract
- Fit Mask (N95 Fit Test): Required within 1 year of start; PAPR not accepted
- Vaccinations and Titers: Must meet facility requirements for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (within 12 months)
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; additional onsite drug screen during orientation
- Flu Vaccination or Agency Declination: Required October 1 - March 31; mask may be required if declined
