Description

Job Opportunity: PT Outpatient - Therapy/Rehabilitation

Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Required Experience & Certifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty (Therapy/Rehabilitation)
  • Prior travel experience: Not required (unit accepts first-time travelers)
  • Required Certifications:
    • New Hampshire State License
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA provider only
  • Additional preferred/required certifications may include ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification, Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB), depending on unit assignment

Work Schedule & Requirements

  • Shift:
    • Monday/Wednesday: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
    • Tuesday/Thursday/Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Call Requirement: None
  • Float Requirement: May need to cover shifts at downtown rehab location for FMLA coverage
  • Weekend Requirement: None

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • Background check required within 30 days of start, including:
    • Social Security Verification
    • National Sex Offender Registry Search
    • National Criminal Search
    • FACIS L3
    • Education Verification
    • Criminal county/state searches (excluding NH counties)
    • State of NH Criminal Background Report
    • BEAS (Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services) Background Report for NH placements
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks must be run within 30 days prior to start
  • Drug screen: 10-panel within 14 days prior to start (with a 7-day grace period)
  • Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
  • Respiratory Safety Clearance required for all clinical travelers
  • Two current professional references within last 3 years (one must be from a supervisor)
  • Employment application and skills checklist required

Immunization & Health Requirements

  • Flu vaccination required annually (October 31 – April 1), with medical or religious exemptions allowed via facility-specific waiver forms
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years required; exemptions allowed with documentation
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year prior to start; 2-step PPD or equivalent required
  • TB Questionnaire required for all travelers
  • Immunity or vaccination documentation required for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (declinations accepted with waiver)
    • Varicella (history of disease NOT accepted)
  • COVID vaccines preferred but not required
  • Annual fit mask test required for clinical candidates (except PT Outpatient)

Additional Facility-Specific Requirements

  • SSA release and state-specific releases (NH, MA if applicable) required
  • Facility requires copies of professional licenses and verification
  • Pass/Fail testing (EKG/Dysrhythmia) required within 48 hours of contract signing for certain units
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (OSHA education) required
  • Photo for badge (passport style, jpeg) required
  • Proof of auto insurance required if applicable (Home Health, Hospice, Visiting Nurse)
  • Various exemption forms for flu and Tdap vaccines available for medical or religious reasons

Important Notes

  • Travelers who have ever been former employees of the associated health system are not considered
  • Background checks cannot be pending at start (except NH county searches which are not required)
  • Candidates must complete all required documentation and clearances prior to start date

This position offers a structured outpatient therapy schedule with no weekend or call requirements, suitable for therapists with at least 1 year of experience and appropriate licensure in New Hampshire. Prior travel experience is not required, making it accessible for first-time travel therapists.
