Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - Vascular

Location: Chambersburg, Pennsylvania

Job Description

• Strong vascular ultrasound experience required.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 shifts of 8 hours each.
• Work will rotate between outpatient and hospital locations.
• Weekend and holiday rotations as needed (not likely).
• On-call rotation as needed with a 30-minute response time required.
• Candidate must be able to perform high-level vascular scans including:

  • Hemodialysis (HD) access mappings
  • Venous insufficiency exams
  • Arterial exams following interventions
• May care for COVID-19 patients.
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of vascular ultrasound experience.
• Registered in Ultrasound by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) in abdomen or OB-GYN.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential through RDMS required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required.

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit prior travel experience required.

Required Certifications and Documents

• Background checks including 7-year criminal background, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and fingerprinting (PA FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start).
• Education verification (highest level of education).
• ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted).
• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT.
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series)
  • TDAP within 10 years
  • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot within 90 days)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (vaccines or positive titers)
  • Varicella (vaccines or positive titer)
  • Flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccine or exemption/declination accepted
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (Aya requirement only).
• Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually.
• Professional references: 2 required within 3 years.
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable.
• Clear, professional photo for badge.

Additional Requirements

• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search and Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprinting required, must be completed within 5 years and results on file within 45 days of assignment start.
• Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required within 1 year of start, must be finalized prior to start.
• Candidate must review and sign facility-specific documents including code of conduct, confidentiality agreement, commitment to health & wellness, and non-employee affidavit.
• New hire orientation and completion of required LMS modules prior to or on first day of assignment.

Response Time and On-Call

• On-call rotation with 30-minute response time required.
• Weekend and holiday shifts as needed.

Notes

• Floating is not applicable for this position.
• Maximum return to office (RTO) time is 7 days.
