Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Chambersburg, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule & Work Requirements

• 5x8 hour night shifts
• On-call with 30-minute response required
• Weekends and holidays as needed
• Floating as needed
• May care for COVID-19 patients
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience (highest requirement)
• BLS certification required
• EPIC experience required

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license for Pennsylvania
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification, and other certifications as applicable per unit/job description
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing required for all RNs except OR and Home Health

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit prior travel experience required

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

Background Checks & Verifications

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• PA State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• PA FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Childline Search) required within 5 years; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days
• Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts
• Employment application and recent resume required
• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Skills checklist required annually

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days; PPD not accepted
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable
• Flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season (declinations not accepted)
• COVID-19 vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption or declination accepted
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (Aya requirement only)
• Respiratory Safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually

Facility Specific Documents & Training

• Passport-style photo for badge (professional appearance required)
• Completion and signing of facility-specific documents including:

  • Medical Statement Non-Employee Ability to Work
  • Commitment to Health & Wellness
  • Code of Conduct
  • Confidentiality Agreement
  • Non-Employee Affidavit
  • I9 Attestation and Documentation Attestation (agency completed)
• Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules prior to start (PC/laptop only)
• New Hire Orientation to be completed by end of first day

Additional Notes

• Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days
• Manager interview required after clinical screening
• Candidate will be reviewed for clinical fit before final approval
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free; candidates must be notified prior to submission
