Job Opportunity: PT Acute Care Hospital (Travel/Contract)

Schedule & Work Details

• Monday to Friday schedule
• No weekends or call required
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Must work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
• Orientation hours vary based on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
• Full compliance required to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to orientation scheduling
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty
• Unit accepts first-time travelers (no prior travel experience required)

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Valid State License for Physical Therapy in Georgia
• Background check completed within 30 days of start, including education verification
• Photo ID required
• Education verification required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process (due within 30 days post start)
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, EFM certifications: Refer to specialty requirements (typically not required for PT unless specified)
• Allied Annual License Verification within 30 days prior to start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months (with specific protocols if previously positive)
• TB questionnaire required annually
• Immunizations:

  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B series or signed declination
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (cannot start with results pending)
• Flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)

Competency & Testing Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (required for nursing/allied by Aya)
• Color blind testing required for all candidates
• Competency exams as applicable to specialty and facility requirements

Additional Requirements

• Must review and sign Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start
• References: 2 clinical references required by Aya (not required by client)
• Skills checklist within 12 months, updated annually
• Verification of most recent employer required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process (due within 30 days post start)

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position
• Floating may be required within the facility and scope of practice
• Compliance with all documentation and credentialing is mandatory for timely start

This position is ideal for a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience seeking a travel contract in an acute care hospital setting with a Monday-Friday schedule and no weekend or call requirements.
