Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Location: Elizabeth, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks

Job Details

Work schedule: 25-26 school year (SY) weeks
37.5 billable hours per week

Required Qualifications

Must have Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification in hand
Minimum 1 year of school-based experience
Must have CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification

Required Certifications and Licenses

Registered Behavior Technician Certification (RBT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
Educational Services - State Teaching Certificate or Credential as applicable
Colorado State fingerprint clearance (CBI/FBI) required; fingerprinting handled by the agency
Educational Services - Mandatory Reporter training (must be updated annually)
FERPA training (required for Educational Services candidates)

Background and Compliance Requirements

Criminal background check within 1 year of start and updated annually, including:
- Social Security Trace
- Federal, Nationwide, County, and Sex Offender searches for the last 7 years of residence/work/school
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 1 year of start and updated annually
Colorado CAPS Release Authorization form required prior to background checks
Educational Services - CO - VECHS Waiver (time sensitive) required within 24 hours of signing
Fingerprint Clearance Attestation required for each new school year

Additional Notes

Drug testing is not required unless specifically requested by the client
Physical exams, TB tests, and immunizations are only required if requested by the client
Competency exams are not required unless requested by the school
Temporary Educator Eligibility (TEE) may be required if candidate does not qualify for a Professional Teaching License or Special Services Provider license (SSP) in Colorado

Specialty years of experience: Minimum 1 year of school-based experience
Prior travel experience: Not required
