Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Newport News, Virginia

Work Schedule Options

• Option 1: 4 days of 10-hour shifts (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday), 2:00 PM – Midnight
• Option 2: 4 days of 10-hour shifts (Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday), 2:00 PM – Midnight

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

  • Varicella – 2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox; exemptions require facility approval.
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); medical or religious exemptions must be approved.
  • COVID vaccination preferred.
• Fingerprinting: Virginia VSP National Criminal Background Check fingerprint results required starting 7/15/2025 (for tracking).
• Drug-free policy acknowledgment and other facility-specific policies must be reviewed and signed prior to start.

Documentation and Orientation

• Photo for badge meeting specific requirements (recent, professional, neutral background, no hats/headphones, etc.).
• Confidentiality agreement, dress code policy, safety brochure, scrub color policy, and hand washing hygiene policy must be reviewed and signed.
• Pass/fail testing (e.g., EKG/medication competency) administered during orientation; multiple attempts allowed.
• Medication and competency exams required as applicable, to be completed within one year of start date.
