Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Shift Details
- Monday to Wednesday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Facility Overview
- Level 1 trauma center
- Supports over 30 Operating Rooms (ORs)
- 6 Intensive Care Units (ICUs)
- 70+ bed Emergency Room (ER)
- Approximately 700 inpatient beds
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty
- Experience with extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, chest/thorax
- Experience in ER, OR, Level 1 trauma, surgery/C-arm procedures
Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or RQI accepted
- ARRT certification required
- Indiana state license accepted if pending with ETA 2 weeks
Equipment Experience
- Familiarity with GE and Siemens imaging equipment
Additional Requirements
- First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience NOT required)
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy required)
- Background checks including 7 years of residence/work history, education verification, and various federal/state screenings
- Physical exam within 12 months of start date
- Fit mask test within 12 months (N95 or approved respirators)
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive titers
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
- Color blindness test (Ishihara or equivalent) with 100% minimum score
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam required
- Unit competency exam required
Important Notes
- Call-in shifts must be made up during the pay period or added to the end of the contract depending on FTE status
- Multiple facility-specific orientation and compliance documents must be completed prior to start
- Mandatory completion of safety and compliance modules may be required depending on facility policies
Summary
This is a 13-week travel contract for an X-Ray Tech with at least 1 year of specialty experience in Radiology/Cardiology. The position requires BLS and ARRT certifications, Indiana licensure (pending acceptable), and experience with trauma and surgical imaging. First-time travelers are welcome. The role involves night shifts Monday through Wednesday at a busy Level 1 trauma center with extensive OR and ICU support. Comprehensive health, background, and competency requirements must be met prior to start.
