Job Opportunity: MS Tele Registered Nurse (RN) Nights
Location: Orangeburg, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry)
- Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
- Patient Ratio: 1:5
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call: No
- Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in MS/Telemetry, telemetry monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- First-timers: Accepted
- Licensure: South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license must be active and in hand prior to start
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA certification required
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Preferred Experience: Community hospital experience

- Background Checks:
- Comprehensive background check covering last 7 years of residence/employment
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- Education Verification: Required (diploma or transcripts acceptable as placeholder)
- NURSYS Verification: Required for RN licensure
- Competency Exams: Medication/pharmacology competency exam required
- Color Blind Testing: Required prior to start
- Facility Orientation: Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start (approx. 4-6 hours)
- Photo for Badge: Clear, passport-style photo required before start
- References: Proof of 2 clinical references required
- Employment History: Verification of last 3 clinical employers required
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical Exam: Initial and annual physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands
- Immunizations & Titers:
- Tdap within 10 years or declination form
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or vaccination series)
- Varicella (positive titer or vaccination series)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- TB Testing: Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days of start or appropriate follow-up for positive tests
- Drug Screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Flu Vaccination: Required during flu season (Aug 1 - Apr 30) or medical/religious exemption; documentation must be uploaded before deadline
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Not required but highly preferred; vaccination records or declination form must be uploaded
- Respirator Clearance: Annual medical clearance required for respirator use

- Hurricane Season: Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during June-November; peak activity in August and September
