Location: Abilene, Texas

Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Specialty: Outpatient Surgery Center - Operating Room (OR)
- Schedule: No call, no weekends, no holidays
- Start Dates: 3/2 or 3/16
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Texas
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification as applicable
- Chemotherapy certification as applicable
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) as applicable
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) as applicable
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) as applicable
- NIH Stroke Certification as applicable
- Pass/Fail Testing for Telemetry RNs (if applicable)
- NURSYS Verification for RN license within 30 days of start
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse in Outpatient Surgery/OR
- Required Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 2 years typical for specialty (no higher conflicting data)

Compliance & Background Checks
- 7-year background check required within 1 year of start; updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- State-specific Texas checks including DADS Employability Status and Employee Misconduct Registry within 30 days of start
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen with THC within 10 business days prior to start; no pending results allowed
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract
- Fit mask (3M 1860 Regular or 1860S) required within 12 months of start, updated annually
- Immunizations and titers required within 72 hours of signing contract:
- Tuberculosis (Negative TB or Chest X-Ray or equivalent testing)
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination)
- Varicella
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Seasonal Flu Vaccine (required for 2025-26 season; religious or medical exemptions accepted)
Additional Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- I9 or attestation
- E-Verify or attestation
- Education verification (highest level) or transcript/diploma
- Various facility-specific acknowledgments and forms to be reviewed and signed prior to start (e.g., vaccination info, TB and occupational exposure, patient-centered pledge, confidentiality, compliance, background check authorization, traveler identification)
- Skills checklist and medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable, updated annually
- Color blindness testing (online Ishihara test)
- References: 2 references within 3 years of start
