Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology experience to provide care for adult and geriatric patients. This is a travel/contract position requiring procedural sedation and EPIC experience.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience (Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology)
• Prior travel experience required (No first-time travelers accepted)

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Current Maryland nursing license or compact state license (with proof of state residency)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Additional competencies: Moderate Sedation Competency and Interventional Radiology specialty testing

Additional Requirements

• Flu vaccine is mandatory; no exemptions allowed
• Call required nights and weekends on a rotation (approximately 9–13 days of call in a six-week period)
• Must be able to self-schedule
• Scrubs provided

Patient Population

• Adult and Geriatric patients

Background & Health Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within one year of start, updated annually
• Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Physical exam within one year of start
• Fit mask test within one year, updated annually
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within one year
• Flu vaccination required annually (no declinations accepted)

Documentation & Competency Exams

• Proof of I9, Driver’s License/State ID, and E-Verify
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Core competency exams for new staff or substitutes
• NIH Stroke Certification (required for all units except Pediatrics, OB, and Labor & Delivery)

References & Evaluations

• Proof of 2 clinical references required
• Performance evaluation required if previously worked with the system over 1 year

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab RNs with prior travel assignments who meet the above qualifications and are ready to work in a dynamic, call-required environment.
