Position Details

• Specialty: Psychiatric RN, Children's Unit
• Unit: Psychiatric ICU
• Number of Openings: 3
• Shift: 3 PM - 3 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours/week
• Weekend Hours: 36 hours/week (required)
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: Potentially required to float to other units
• Number of Beds: 6-bed ICU
• Patient Ratios: 3:5
• Type of Patients: Thought disordered, psychotic, personality disorder, manic
• Personality Fit: Able to remain calm, professional demeanor

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in psychiatric nursing
• Skills:

  • De-escalation skills
  • Experience with acute adult mental health patients
• License: Valid RN license for Maine
• Education & Certifications: As required for Psychiatric RN role (specific certifications not detailed)

Work Environment & Dress Code

• Dress Code: Business casual
• Unacceptable Attire: No ripped jeans, shorts, t-shirts or sweatshirts with logos, or open-toed shoes
