Description

Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist (OT) - Temp, Inpatient (Days)

Location: Brattleboro, Vermont
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Facilitate development and rehabilitation of patients with mental, emotional, and physical disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed occupational therapy.
  • Must be able to start on 3/2 - no exceptions.
  • Behavioral health experience preferred.
  • Must be willing to float to other units and take charge shifts.
  • Rural location with limited housing and public transportation options.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of Occupational Therapy experience (behavioral health experience must be within the last 3 months).
  • Licensed by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Active Vermont or Compact OT license.
  • Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Behavioral health experience and age groups worked with must be listed on the resume.
  • Resume must include all age groups worked with.
  • OT skills checklist from within the last year.
  • Two supervisory references from the last 2 years of employment.
  • Must include candidate’s address or driver’s license in submission (candidates living within 35 miles of the facility will have a rate decrease).
  • Must be willing to float to other units and take charge shifts.
  • First-time travelers will be considered.
  • CPI training offered onsite.

Additional Information

  • RTO (Requested Time Off) blackout dates: 3/16-3/20, 4/27-5/8, 5/22-5/26, 6/22-7/7.
  • RTO cannot exceed 7 days.
  • Holiday and call-back pay at 1.25x the base rate (minimum 2 hours applies to call-back).
  • Unbillable orientation: 8 hours.
  • Cancellation policy: Up to 3 shifts may be canceled per 13-week contract.
  • Brattleboro is a small town with a vibrant downtown, arts scene, and outdoor recreational opportunities including swimming, fishing, kayaking, and biking.

Prior Travel Experience

  • First-time travelers are welcome; prior travel experience is not required.
