Job Opportunity: RN - Psychiatry (Adolescent Behavioral Health)

Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Specialty: Adolescent Behavioral Health / Psychiatric Nursing
Shift: 7pm - 7am (Night Shift)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Hours: Every 3rd weekend
Call Requirements: None
Unit Type: Acute Psychiatric Care
Patient Ratio: 2-3 RNs for 21 patients, supported by 2 Mental Health Technicians and 1 Psychiatric Counselor
EMR System: Cerner

Required Qualifications

License: Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Kentucky
Experience: Minimum 2 years of behavioral health experience as an RN (highest required years of experience)
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
Familiarity with Cerner EMR system

Additional Information

The unit focuses on acute psychiatric patients, primarily adolescents.
Ideal candidates excel at de-escalation techniques.
Dress code requires Galaxy Blue scrubs (no black or galaxy blue bottoms).
