Job Opportunity: Wound Care Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Wound Care Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of specialty experience. Prior travel experience is required. WOCN certification is strongly preferred. Open to local candidates as well.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
- Minimum 1 year of experience in wound care nursing
- Prior travel experience required (must have completed at least one prior travel contract)
- WOCN certification strongly preferred
Certifications & Competencies
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA provider, instructor, or RQI acceptable
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA provider, instructor, or RQI acceptable (required for ICU RNs)
- Other certifications may be required depending on assignment area (verify with employer)
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as required by specialty
Health & Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Annual respirator fit testing (Fit Mask)
- 12 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days prior to start
- Background checks including criminal, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG
- Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption forms
- References: 2 required
Additional Information
- Candidates must provide a copy of a valid photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Completion of facility-specific orientation and competency requirements is expected
- Candidates should be prepared to sign confidentiality and system access agreements prior to start
