Travel/Contract Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical)

Location: Kingman, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Float to other Medical Surgical units as needed
• Weekend shifts every other weekend
• Patient ratio approximately 1:5-6
• Orientation every Monday
• Charting system: Meditech (preferred experience, not required)
• Telemetry experience required due to potential for remote Telemetry monitoring
• Locals and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license for Arizona
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical Surgical nursing (Telemetry experience required)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications as applicable
• Government-issued photo ID required
• Background checks including 7-year search, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, education verification
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• Two professional references within 3 years
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not required
• Must be able to complete facility-specific forms and trainings (security, confidentiality, HIPAA, behavioral expectations)
• Photo for badge required (passport-style with solid background)

This position is suitable for both local nurses and those new to travel nursing seeking a Medical Surgical assignment with Telemetry experience.
