Description

Job Opportunity: Pharmacist Inpatient (Travel/Contract)

Location: Buffalo, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Prepare and dispense therapeutic devices, drugs, and medicines.
Share distributional pharmacy technician duties, including running an automatic repackaging machine and medication cart filling.
Provide professional guidance and answer questions related to pharmacy policies, procedures, and pharmacy issues.
Deliver a full range of medication management, medication education, and support for the clinical treatment team.
Work hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Required Qualifications

Licensed Pharmacist in New York State.
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
Must pass competency exams as required.
Background checks including criminal background and fingerprinting (to be completed onsite except for certain facilities).
Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months prior to start.
Required vaccinations or titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
Drug testing (9 panel) within 1 year of start.
Seasonal flu vaccination or declination for 2025-26.
COVID-19 vaccine booster preferred but not required.
Two professional references required.
New York State Medicaid enrollment documentation required.

This is a travel/contract position with a state-run facility; the hiring process may be slow due to bid and review procedures.
Candidates must comply with all state-specific documentation and credentialing requirements.
