Job Opportunity: Pharmacist Inpatient (Travel/Contract)
Location: Buffalo, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Prepare and dispense therapeutic devices, drugs, and medicines.
- Share distributional pharmacy technician duties, including running an automatic repackaging machine and medication cart filling.
- Provide professional guidance and answer questions related to pharmacy policies, procedures, and pharmacy issues.
- Deliver a full range of medication management, medication education, and support for the clinical treatment team.
- Work hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Pharmacist in New York State.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- Must pass competency exams as required.
- Background checks including criminal background and fingerprinting (to be completed onsite except for certain facilities).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months prior to start.
- Required vaccinations or titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
- Drug testing (9 panel) within 1 year of start.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination for 2025-26.
- COVID-19 vaccine booster preferred but not required.
- Two professional references required.
- New York State Medicaid enrollment documentation required.

- This is a travel/contract position with a state-run facility; the hiring process may be slow due to bid and review procedures.
- Candidates must comply with all state-specific documentation and credentialing requirements.
