Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Rehab Nights
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details

- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
- Open to first-time travelers (prior travel experience NOT required)
- Option to work either 36 or 48 hours per week
- BLS certification required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for New Mexico
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA, ARC, RQI, or American Safety and Health Institute)
- Additional certifications as applicable (ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, MAB, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification) may be required depending on assignment
- Education verification with highest level of education confirmed
- Background checks including 7-year history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, fingerprinting (completed onsite during orientation for New Mexico placements)
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
- Immunizations and health documentation required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
- Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination)
- Varicella (positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
- Work history verification for the past 7 years
Additional Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID
- Completion of employment application/resume
- Photo for badge
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement and HIPAA compliance
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
- Annual core testing for agency staff
Notes
- Fingerprinting must be completed onsite during orientation; clearance required before working on unit
- Education verification must be completed prior to start; transcripts or diplomas may be accepted temporarily
- Flu and COVID-19 vaccine exemptions require facility approval and documentation
- Prior travel experience is NOT required for this position
This position offers a travel nursing opportunity in a rehabilitation setting with night shifts and flexible hours. It is suitable for nurses with at least one year of experience in rehab nursing, including those new to travel nursing.
