Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Rehab Nights

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Nights
• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Rehab)
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
• Open to first-time travelers (prior travel experience NOT required)
• Option to work either 36 or 48 hours per week
• BLS certification required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for New Mexico
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA, ARC, RQI, or American Safety and Health Institute)
• Additional certifications as applicable (ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, MAB, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification) may be required depending on assignment
• Education verification with highest level of education confirmed
• Background checks including 7-year history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, fingerprinting (completed onsite during orientation for New Mexico placements)
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
• Immunizations and health documentation required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella (positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
• Work history verification for the past 7 years

Additional Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID
• Completion of employment application/resume
• Photo for badge
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement and HIPAA compliance
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
• Annual core testing for agency staff

Notes

• Fingerprinting must be completed onsite during orientation; clearance required before working on unit
• Education verification must be completed prior to start; transcripts or diplomas may be accepted temporarily
• Flu and COVID-19 vaccine exemptions require facility approval and documentation
• Prior travel experience is NOT required for this position

This position offers a travel nursing opportunity in a rehabilitation setting with night shifts and flexible hours. It is suitable for nurses with at least one year of experience in rehab nursing, including those new to travel nursing.
