Job Details

• Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
• Holidays: Expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays; no time off between Christmas and New Year's
• Floating: Will float to all Medical-Surgical floors and potentially rehab
• Patient Population: May care for COVID-19 patients
• Facility Environment: Tobacco and fragrance-free

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years as a Registered Nurse
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Electronic Health Record: EPIC experience required

Required Licenses

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Pennsylvania

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit prior travel experience required

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
  • Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
  • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
  • PA FBI Fingerprinting within 1 year of start (can start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days)
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
  • Immunizations and titers: Hepatitis B, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start (PPD not accepted)
  • Flu vaccination or valid medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccine or valid exemption/declination
  • Drug screening (9 panel) within 1 year of start (Aya requirement only)
  • Respiratory Safety clearance within 1 year of start, renewed annually
• Professional History:

  • 2 professional references within 3 years
  • Most recent resume or employment application
  • Annual skills checklist
• Competency Exams:

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency as applicable
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (pass/fail) required for all RNs except OR and Home Health
• Facility Specific:

  • Clear, professional photo for badge
  • Completion of WellSpan Health required documents including Medical Statement, Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, Commitment to Health & Wellness, Non-Employee Affidavit, I9 Attestation, and Documentation Attestation
  • Completion of WellSpan Learning Management System (LMS) modules prior to start
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search within 5 years (can start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days)

Additional Notes

• Maximum Return to Office (RTO) time: 7 days
• Manager interview required after clinical screening
• No call requirements
• Scheduling requests and interviews cannot be guaranteed or accommodated

This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses comfortable with night shifts, floating across medical-surgical units, and working in a tobacco and fragrance-free environment. Candidates must be prepared to meet extensive compliance and credentialing requirements prior to and during the assignment.
