Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT)

Location: Florence, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Maintain a professional image and excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
• Collaborate with staff to develop professional skills, new programs, and patient treatment plans.
• Perform treatments as ordered in a safe and timely manner, involving staff and family members when appropriate.
• Document medical records in accordance with APTA standards of care.
• Participate in services, meetings, and educational sessions.
• Adjust schedules to accommodate changes in caseload.
• Ensure a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Evaluate patients referred for physical therapy using specialized testing procedures and data from medical records.
• Develop individualized physical therapy plans of care with short- and long-term goals.
• Supervise treatment team operations and regularly meet with PTAs to discuss patient goals.
• Provide evidence-based care and seek research to support interventions.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records and facility operations.
• Adhere to all facility and corporate policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license for South Carolina.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA only).
• Proof of required immunizations:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• COVID-19 vaccination (fully vaccinated preferred; medical/religious exemptions considered case-by-case).
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) testing.
• Influenza vaccine (required October - April; exemptions considered case-by-case).
• Fit test (if applicable, completed within one year of start).
• Driver’s License or State ID.
• Social Security Card.
• Criminal background check covering last 7 years, updated annually.
• Employment verification for 5 years.
• 10 panel drug screening completed within 30 days of start.
• Completion of clinical skills checklist prior to start, updated annually.
• Submission of resume/profile; references preferred but not required.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience verified through employment history.
