Job Opportunity: Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) - Temp
Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide mobile X-Ray and EKG services to nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and other locations using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment. Perform exams ordered by physicians, ensuring clinically diagnostic and technically competent images. Perform EKGs as needed and transmit results for interpretation. Maintain communication with dispatch, management, and clients. Responsible for maintaining vehicle and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and process portable X-Rays and transmit images to Radiologists.
- Unload and transport portable X-Ray equipment into facilities.
- Perform EKGs when required and transmit to Cardiologists.
- Scan exam-related paperwork and billing documents daily per protocol.
- Communicate professionally with peers, supervisors, and clients.
- Maintain vehicle and X-ray equipment.
Physical Demands
- Ability to push/pull 50-100 lbs multiple times daily (16-24 times).
- Use of vehicle ramps and pulleys may reduce physical strain.
- Physical activity includes moving equipment within facilities and homes.
Required Qualifications
- Active ARRT certification (Radiologic Technologist).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Experience with portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (based on typical industry standards and job complexity).
