Description

Job Opportunity: Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) - Temp

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Provide mobile X-Ray and EKG services to nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and other locations using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment. Perform clinically diagnostic and technically competent X-ray imaging and transmit results to Radiologists. Perform EKGs as needed and transmit to Cardiologists.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and process portable X-Rays and submit/transmit images for interpretation.
  • Unload and transport portable X-Ray equipment into facilities to perform physician-ordered exams.
  • Perform EKGs when required and transmit results for interpretation.
  • Scan exam-related paperwork and billing documents daily per protocol.
  • Maintain regular communication with dispatch, management, peers, supervisory staff, and clients.
  • Maintain vehicle and X-ray equipment.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to push/pull 50-100 lbs multiple times daily, sometimes more depending on equipment and environment.
  • Use of vehicle ramps and pulleys may reduce physical strain.
  • Must meet physical requirements to perform essential job functions; reasonable accommodations available.

Required Qualifications

  • Active ARRT certification (Radiologic Technologist).
  • Active Driver’s License.
  • Experience with portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment.
  • Ability to work independently in varied healthcare settings.
