Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Richland, Washington

  • Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Required Experience

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Required Licenses & Certifications

Required Background & Compliance Checks

  • Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
  • Education verification required.
  • State-specific background checks including Washington State Patrol Search (updated every 2 years for certain facility types).
  • Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests).
  • References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years from supervisors in comparable specialty/setting.
  • Employment application covering at least last 5 years.

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
  • Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) required annually; onsite testing available if no recent record.
  • Immunizations/vaccinations required or declination forms accepted for:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
    • Hepatitis B (vaccination series or signed declination)
    • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
    • Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season or declination form
    • COVID-19 vaccine or declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually.

Competency & Training Requirements

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable.
  • Competency exams required by specialty/unit.
  • Color Blind Testing if required by unit (minimum 80% score).
  • Specialty-specific WorkRamp training modules and annual regulatory modules required.
  • Epic system training modules required for certain regions and roles.

Additional Notes

  • Floating policy acknowledgment required; may be asked to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance.
  • Passport-style badge photo required for badge issuance.
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.

This position offers a structured 7-on/7-off schedule with every other weekend required, no floating between units, and no on-call duties. Candidates must meet all licensing, certification, background, health, and training requirements to be eligible.
