Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Nights
- Hours: Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: 4-6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Specialty: Labor and Delivery (L&D)
- Scrubs: Provided
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred in Labor and Delivery nursing
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- AWHONN Intermediate
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Required Licensure
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for New Mexico
Prior Travel Experience
- Not required (first-time travelers welcome)
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- I9 verification
- Driver’s License/State ID
- E-Verify
- 7-year background check (including SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender, education verification)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks upon hire
- Fingerprinting onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
- Education verification (highest level)
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
- Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination)
- Varicella (positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required
Additional Requirements
- Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
- Work history verification for the past 7 years
- Completion of employment application/resume
- Photo for badge
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement and HIPAA compliance
Notes
- Fingerprints must be redone for every new contract
- Travelers can attend orientation and EPIC training pending fingerprint clearance but cannot work on the unit until clearance is received
- Flu and COVID-19 exemptions require facility review and approval
- Behavioral health CEUs and other certifications may be required as applicable
