Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital

Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Inpatient setting
  • Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
  • Current Texas Physical Therapy license (Texas Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners)
  • Preferred: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist

Prior Travel Experience

  • Not explicitly required

Required Certifications & Compliance

  • Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • Background check including education verification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Other certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS) are generally for nursing units and not specified as required for this PT role

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start date
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine required (TDAP only, exemptions possible with documentation)
  • Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 1 year; PPD not accepted
  • Annual TB questionnaire required
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if low titer
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, declination, or vaccine series (3 doses) required
  • Varicella: Titer, 2 vaccines, or history of disease required; boosters if low titer
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required year-round
  • COVID vaccination is highly encouraged but not mandatory

Additional Requirements

  • Two professional references verified within one year of start
  • Skills checklist updated annually and valid at start date
  • Must attend Occupational Health Appointment and Orientation prior to start
  • Orientation occurs once weekly on Tuesdays
