Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey

Job Description

• Work schedule includes every other weekend required
• No on-call duties
• Approximately 20 cases per day
• Technologist should be fluent in OR/Fluoro and General X-ray procedures
• Types of procedures: All routine radiology procedures
• Charting system used: EPIC
• Scrub color: black
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Experience

• Minimum 1+ years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty

Required Licenses and Certifications

• New Jersey state license required prior to start
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ARRT (R) certification required

Prior Travel Experience

• Not required (first-time travelers accepted)

Required Qualifications and Compliance

• Must provide proof of negative TB test or chest X-ray as per facility requirements
• Physical exam within the last 12 months, cleared to perform essential job functions and free of communicable disease
• Drug screen within 30 days of start (10-panel urine drug screen)
• Background check within 30 days of start, including criminal background and alias searches
• Employment application or resume with 7 years of work history
• Two references within the last 2 years, including at least one managerial reference
• Completion of required competency exams and pass/fail testing (e.g., medication test, EKG competency if applicable)
• Color blindness test within 1 year if job tasks require color discrimination
• Fit test and respiratory medical clearance if job tasks require respirator use
• Annual influenza vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required
• Compliance with facility-specific education and safety training, including OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission annual training
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and acknowledgment forms prior to start

Additional Notes

• Candidates must comply with all facility-specific documentation and clearance requirements
• Candidates switching between RWJ sites with less than 30-day gaps may have some documentation accepted from previous assignments
• Facility requires adherence to policies on masking and vaccination during influenza season
• Candidates must complete all required attestations and training modules as directed by the facility

This position offers a structured travel contract with clear requirements for licensure, certifications, and compliance with health and safety standards, suitable for X-Ray Technologists with at least one year of experience and readiness to work in a fast-paced radiology environment.
