Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Portland, Oregon

Job Description

• Experienced in both Cath Lab & Angio with scrub experience
• Shift: 4x10 hour days, Monday to Friday
• On Call Requirements:

  • 1 week night per week
  • 1 weekend per 4 weeks (from Friday end of shift to 7:00 AM Monday)
  • 30-minute response time expected
• Refusal to float as requested will result in contract cancellation
• Floating expected within the site and across the system
• Must complete any assigned education within one week of assignment
• Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
• Teaching hospital, Adult Level I Trauma center
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color policy: Any color except all black or camo print for RN/Allied staff; OR/L&D/Cath Lab scrubs provided

Required Qualifications

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA only; RQI and instructor cards acceptable)
  • ACLS (AHA only; RQI and instructor cards acceptable)
  • ARRT-R or RCIS certification
• Criminal background check required (7-year search including SSN trace, nationwide, sex offender, county, federal, FACIS L3, and international if applicable)
• Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
• Immunizations and health requirements:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series or signed declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Negative 9-panel drug screen within 12 months
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or signed declination (required annually Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • COVID vaccine documentation or declination
• Respirator medical clearance required annually unless no patient interaction
• Two professional references required (supervisory or above, within 3 years)

Additional Information

• No Return to Origin (RTO) in first 2 weeks; max 7 days of RTO allowed
• Mandatory cancellation terms for low census: must cancel 1.5 hours before shift start; one mandatory cancellation per two-week pay period allowed without penalty
• Radiation badge may be required (not specified)
