Certifications Required

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA (RQI acceptable)
  • BCLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA (RQI acceptable)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (required for all RNs except PACU, OR, Women’s Center, or Case Management)
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement

Additional Preferred Certifications (Not Required)

  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
  • Background Check within 6 months (including Social Security Trace, Counties, Nationwide, National Sex Offender, Education Verification)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
  • HHS/OIG check
  • Transcript/Diploma (acceptable as placeholder if Education Verification pending)
  • Florida AHCA Level II Fingerprint Results (Livescan electronic fingerprinting required prior to start)
  • Education Verification of RN degree (ASN, BSN, or MSN)
  • NURSYS Verification (RN)
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (passing score 84% or higher)
  • Color Blind Testing (score 80% or higher, completed within 1 year)
  • Competency Exam (passing score 84% or higher)
  • Physical Exam within 6 months of start
  • Fit Mask testing (completed onsite during first week)
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year; Chest X-Ray within 2 years if history of positive or BCG vaccine)
  • TB Questionnaire if history of positive TB (updated annually)
  • Immunizations or proof of immunity for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B
    • Varicella
  • Drug Testing: 9 Panel Drug Screen within 3 months of start (instant tests not accepted)
  • COVID vaccination documentation or approved exemption (religious or medical)
  • Flu vaccine or declination documentation (not required for contract workers but recommended)
  • Two professional references within two years of start
  • Performance Evaluation within the last year (if applicable)

Work Expectations & Policies

  • Must work 1 evening and 1 holiday if 1-2 holidays fall within assignment
  • Must work 1 evening and 2 holidays if 3 holidays fall within assignment
  • 3 call outs result in termination
  • Shift change refusals with less than 48 hours’ notice may result in forfeiting guaranteed hours
  • Shift change refusals with 1 week or more notice may result in termination
  • Plan for at least 4 hours to complete mandatory modules prior to start date
  • Scrub color: Any
  • Charting system: Meditech
  • Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
