Job Details

  • RTO (Return to Office) Parameters: No RTO during the first or last week of assignment
  • Local Traveler Restriction: No locals; must live more than 30 miles from the facility
  • Unit Type: Mixed unit, high acuity
  • Additional Experience Required: Rapid Response team experience and total joints experience required
  • Holiday Work Requirement:
    • If 1-2 holidays fall within assignment: work 1 evening and 1 holiday shift
    • If 3 holidays fall within assignment: work 1 evening and 2 holiday shifts

Required Certifications

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or RQI acceptable
  • BCLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or RQI acceptable
  • NIH Stroke Certification (required except for PACU, OR, Women’s Center, or Case Management)
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement

Required Licenses

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Florida
  • NURSYS Verification as applicable

Required Background and Compliance Checks

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • Background Check within 6 months including Social Security Trace, Counties, Nationwide, National Sex Offender, Education Verification
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
  • HHS/OIG check
  • Education Verification (ASN, BSN, or MSN)
  • Florida AHCA Level II Fingerprint Clearance (must be on file prior to start)
  • Transcript/Diploma acceptable as placeholder if Education Verification pending

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Physical Exam within 6 months of start
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within required timeframes
  • Drug Testing: 9 Panel Drug Screen within 3 months of start (instant tests not accepted)
  • COVID-19 vaccination documentation required; religious or medical exemptions accepted with facility-specific forms
  • Flu vaccine or declination documentation encouraged but not required for contract workers
  • Fit Mask testing to be completed onsite during first week

Competency Requirements

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (passing score 84% or higher)
  • Color Blind Testing (score 80% or higher, completed within 1 year of start)
  • Competency Exam (passing score 84% or higher)

Additional Requirements

  • Must complete facility-specific job description and orientation modules prior to start
  • Must complete Non PMC Employee Orientation Quiz and Information Form (time sensitive)
  • Must review and sign various facility-specific acknowledgements and forms (e.g., confidentiality, tobacco-free policy, timecard expectations)
  • References: Two professional references within two years of start
  • Performance Evaluation: Required if previously completed assignments through any agency (within last year)
  • Skills Checklist: Required

Important Notes

  • Three call outs will result in termination
  • Shift change refusals with less than 48 hours’ notice may result in forfeiting guaranteed hours
  • Shift change refusals with one week or more notice may result in termination
  • Plan for at least 4 hours to complete required modules prior to start date

This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with MS/Tele experience who are comfortable working in a high-acuity mixed unit and meeting the outlined certification, licensing, and compliance requirements.
