Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Position for a Radiology Tech (not a nurse)
  • Schedule options: 4x10 hour shifts or 5x8 hour shifts
  • On-call requirements: one weekday call per week and one weekend call every 2 months
  • Parking accommodations available for on-call staff
  • Work within a 50-mile radius

Required Qualifications

  • License: Virginia state license required; candidates can start with VA temporary authorization while license is pending
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
  • Experience:
    • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
    • Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated, but implied to be for a tech role (no nurse experience required)
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not specified or required

Schedule & Work Environment

  • 13-week contract

    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer required)
    • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer required
    • Varicella (2 vaccines or titer required)
    • Seasonal flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
  • Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands of the position
  • Professional appearance guidelines must be reviewed and acknowledged
  • Facility-specific compliance forms and screenings required prior to start

Additional Notes

  • Fingerprinting required for Behavioral Health candidates only (not applicable here)
  • Radiation badge must be supplied by the facility for new candidates
  • References and clinical evaluations may be required for credentialing purposes

This position is ideal for a certified Radiology Tech with ARRT and BLS certifications, licensed or eligible for licensure in Virginia, seeking a 13-week travel contract with flexible shift options and on-call responsibilities.
