Job Description

• Work 10-hour shifts with varying start times between 06:45-17:15 or 08:45-19:15.
• Position is in the Operating Room with a comprehensive range of surgical services including:

  • Gynecology, Urogynecology, Gynecology Oncology
  • Podiatry, Orthopedics, Breast Surgery, Plastic Surgery
  • General Surgery, Urology, Robotics, Endoscopy
  • Cardiothoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery
• Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric.
• May care for COVID-19 patients.
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility.

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Operating Room)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (highest required)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
  • EPIC experience required
• Call Requirements:

  • Call every 6 or 7 weeks
  • Weekend call from Friday 7:00 PM to Sunday 7:00 PM
  • One weeknight call per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend/Holiday: As needed
• Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days

Required Licenses

• Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Pennsylvania.

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year criminal background, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and Pennsylvania-specific PATCH search.
• PA FBI Fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days.
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance required within 5 years; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days.
• Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts.
• Professional references: 2 required within 3 years.
• Recent resume or employment application.
• Annual skills checklist.
• Performance evaluations completed onsite during assignment.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT.
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series) plus declination form if applicable
  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years
  • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days; chest X-ray if positive
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters as needed
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters as needed
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccine, medical/religious exemption, or declination accepted
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (Aya requirement only)
• Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually

Additional Information

• Candidate must submit a clear, professional photo for badge.
• Must review and sign facility-specific documents including Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, Commitment to Health & Wellness, Non-Employee Affidavit, and others.
• Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules prior to or shortly after start date.
• New hire orientation required by end of first day.
