Travel/Contract Registered Nurse (Step Down)

Location: Beaufort, South Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Step Down unit on a travel/contract basis.

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for South Carolina.
• Experience: (Not explicitly stated; default to typical Step Down RN experience, generally 1-2 years minimum.)
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only (required for Cath Lab, ER/ED, ICU, OR, PACU; typically required for Step Down)

  • NIH Stroke Certification (required for Med Surg RNs; often applicable to Step Down)
• Background Checks:

  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or facility-specific declination (required for placements starting on or after 9/10/2025)
  • COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination
• Documentation:

  • Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
  • Completed employment application/resume
  • Skills checklist updated annually (as applicable)
  • Performance evaluation if previously completed assignments through any agency
• Other Requirements:

  • Government issued photo ID carried during hours of service
  • Proof of I9 and E-Verify or attestation
  • Facility-specific documents including job description acknowledgment, data access confidentiality, employee health questionnaire, vaccine declination form if applicable
  • Completion of Relias Program Modules (~81 modules) prior to first shift and orientation (up to 8 hours allowed for orientation)
  • Badge photo meeting facility standards
