Job Opportunity: Behavioral Health RN

Location: Putnam, Connecticut
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in a Psychiatric Inpatient Program. The RN will be responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned psychiatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess health status of patients and families through comprehensive health history and physical examination.
• Initiate therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, consultations, and laboratory exams; interpret findings and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Educate and counsel patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute/chronic illnesses.
• Document findings and care plans in patient medical records.
• Provide interventions to ensure a safe environment and evaluate their effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
• Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of Connecticut.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
