Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

Job Summary

Provide routine and complex nursing care in a medical, surgical, and respiratory unit. Practice independently while managing clinical situations, delegating tasks, and addressing patient needs holistically.

Work Schedule

• Dayshift: 7 AM – 7 PM
• Full Time

Patient Population

• Medical

• Respiratory

Required Qualifications

Education & Licenses

• RN License in New Mexico or compact license
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty (Medical/Surgical/Telemetry) required

Certifications (Preferred)

• PALS certification preferred
• CPI certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Manage complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Meet organizational competency standards and participate in orientation and ongoing competency validation

Additional Information

• New hires receive preceptorship and competency validation, including MedSurg-specific competencies
• Newly licensed RNs may participate in residency or orientation programs
• Annual competency verification required
