Contract Details

• Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: March 2
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, critical on-call with 30-minute return
• Ratios: 1:1 Days/Nights/Weekends
• Weekend Requirement: On call only
• Floating: Required to float between multiple facilities within the system
• Block Schedule: Not accommodated
• Locals: Not accepted
• Pending License: Not accepted
• Guaranteed Hours: Apply after first call off per pay period

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Specialty: Registered Nurse - Operating Room
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years
• First-timers Accepted: Yes
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required

Certifications & Licenses

• Required:

  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
  • Current Florida RN License (Primary source verification required)
  • NURSYS verification for RN license
• Preferred/As Applicable:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS, NRP, EFM certifications (check unit-specific requirements)
• Additional:

  • Stroke Education CEUs required for certain units (not specifically stated for OR)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) if applicable
• Compliance: Certifications must remain current throughout assignment

Skills & Competencies

• Circulate skills required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for certain units (verify if applicable)
• Color Blind Testing (Relias) required prior to start

Health & Safety Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Physical exam within 6 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 10 weeks of start (annual TB questionnaire required)
• Immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
• Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved declination (mask required if declined)
• Drug testing: Standard 9-panel within 30 days (instant tests not accepted)
• Respirator medical clearance annually if respirator use is required

Background & Compliance Checks

• Background check within 1 year including SS trace, county, nationwide, sex offender, education verification
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Foreign equivalency evaluation if education outside USA or Puerto Rico
• Fingerprinting: Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan recommended)
• Education verification required for highest level of education

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge required prior to start (professional, clear, solid background)

• BayCare AHCA privacy policy, affidavit, and demographic information sheet required for all clinical staff
• References: 2 references from past 2 years required
