Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Ashtabula, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 8 weeks

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• No weekends, no holidays, no call

Required Qualifications

• ARRT certification required at time of submittal
• Must have or be willing to obtain Ohio state license prior to start
• Cardiac cath lab experience required

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Valid government-issued photo ID required on assignment
• Background check including FCRA compliant 7-year search, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks required prior to start and monthly as applicable
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months required and must be updated annually
• Education verification required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including assessment of ability to perform essential job functions
• Drug screening (standard 10 panel) within 12 months, updated annually
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray (within 6 months for cath lab techs)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or titer
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (exemptions require documentation and approval)

Additional Requirements

• 3 years prior work history including at least 2 years clinical practice in an acute care setting in a similar area
• 2 professional references within 1 year of start from a manager, supervisor, or director (co-worker references not accepted)
• Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start and updated annually
• Annual orientation safety manual acknowledgement
• Facility-specific online training modules must be completed prior to start (multiple hours)
• Fit testing for masks completed onsite on first day of orientation

• Radiation badge will be provided by the facility if applicable
• Candidates must be prepared to complete fingerprinting at the facility in addition to agency process
• Facility supports latex allergy accommodations with notification
