Job Opportunity: Telemetry Registered Nurse (Tele RN)
Location: South Bend, Indiana

Position Details

- Shift: 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call Requirement: None
- Floating: Required; must float across all adult inpatient departments including cardiac stepdown, oncology, ortho/trauma, post-surgical, rehab, ICU stepdown, stroke/heart failure, medical/medsurg, and ER boarding as needed
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Start Date: ASAP
- Locals: Not accepted; must live at least 50 miles away from the facility
- Pending License: Accepted if active by start date
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (specialty experience in telemetry required)
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Skills:
- Proficiency in reading, identifying, and reacting to cardiac rhythms (must pass Tele Rhythm Identification Quiz)
- Telemetry experience required
- Experience with Cerner PowerChart electronic charting system required
- License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for Indiana
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing and able to float within scope to various adult inpatient units as needed
- Open to block scheduling accommodations
- Background check covering last 7 years and all states lived/worked in required
- Physical exam and negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start required
- Immunizations and health documents required including:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (titer or vaccination)
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Varicella (titer or vaccination)
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start
- Completion of facility-specific modules (approx. 8-10 hours) prior to start
- COVID-19 and flu vaccination or approved exemptions required
- Passport-style photo for badge required
Special Notes
- First-time travel nurses are accepted
- No prior travel experience required
- Must pass an on-site EKG exam covering cardiac conduction system and dysrhythmia identification
- Scrub color: Royal/White
This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with telemetry experience who is comfortable working night shifts and floating across multiple adult inpatient units in a cardiac-focused environment.
