Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Richmond, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Details

• Weekend Overnights (3 shifts of 12 hours each: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Hours: 11:00 PM to 11:30 AM
• No call required

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
• No prior travel experience explicitly required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Virginia state license for X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
• Background checks including criminal background, education verification, and others as required
• Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to meet physical demands
• Immunizations and health documents:

  • Tdap vaccine or declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as per guidelines
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella titers with boosters if needed
  • Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (2025-26 season)
• Drug testing within 60 days of start (9-panel minimum, instant screens not accepted)
• Required competencies and exams as applicable (e.g., medication/pharmacology competency, color blindness testing)
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and exams

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Criminal background check within 60 days of start, including multi-state and nationwide checks
• Virginia State Police fingerprinting and CPS (Central Registry) search as applicable
• Education verification from accredited programs
• HIPAA confidentiality agreement acknowledgment
• Required documentation must be uploaded and current as per facility standards

Additional Notes

• Locals allowed at the same rate
• Candidates must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service
• Performance evaluations completed at end of assignment (not required prior to start)
• Two professional references required
• Complete application/resume required
• Skills checklist must be updated annually

This position offers a weekend overnight schedule with no call and requires a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience. Candidates must meet all licensing, certification, health, and background requirements prior to starting the assignment.
