Location: Pueblo, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Neuro Trauma ICU
• Unit: Neuro Trauma ICU
• First-time travelers accepted
• Maximum of 10 RTO (Return to Office) days approved
• RTO not allowed during specific blackout periods in 2026 (March 14–21, May 8–11, May 21–27, June 28–July 9)
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in specialty
• Current Colorado RN license or compact license in hand
• Certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale Certification)
• Must meet all background check requirements including:

  • 7-year background check
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks
  • Education verification from accredited nursing schools (CCNE or ACEN)
• Required competencies and exams:

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (updated annually)
  • Competency Exam (score at least 80%, updated annually)
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (updated annually)
  • Core Part I, II, III (updated annually)
  • OSHA Mandatory training (updated annually)
• Health requirements:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA
  • Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually (specific mask types required)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Drug testing within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific exemption during flu season
  • COVID vaccination proof or signed declination
  • Color Blindness exam (Ishihara exam required prior to start)
• References:

  • Two references from the last two years required, one from employment within the last year
  • References must be from Charge RN, Manager, Supervisor, or above
• Employment history verification for the last 3 years required, with explanations for gaps over 30 days

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required
• Candidates with employment gaps of 15+ days are considered new and must meet full requirements
• Candidates must confirm renewal plans for any certifications expiring within 90 days of start date to avoid clearance issues
