Job Description

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on day shifts. The role requires working in a fast-paced environment providing specialized care in cardiovascular, neurological, and orthopedic services. The facility is recognized for excellence in patient care and is a Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Center.

Required Qualifications

• License: Active Arizona or Compact RN license
• Experience: Minimum 24 months of current Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
• Certifications:

  • American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Flu Vaccination: Required (declinations accepted with proper documentation)
• Driver’s License: Required (Note: Candidates with an Arizona driver's license will NOT be considered)
• Background: Must meet specific background compliance requirements
• Skills Checklist: Must be specific to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing skills
• Resume: Must include all facilities worked at, facility size, bed count, trauma level, and units

Additional Requirements & Notes

• Start date should be on or very soon after the order start date
• Return to Office (RTO) requests must be less than 7 days and cannot occur during the first week or holidays
• Learning modules must be completed prior to assignment start
• Travel experience is preferred but NOT required
• Candidates must submit a fully completed cover page and accurate documentation as specified
• License verification must show no issues at time of submission

Summary

This is a temporary RN position in the Progressive Care Unit requiring at least 2 years of PCU experience, current Arizona or Compact RN license, and ACLS/BLS certifications. Candidates with an Arizona driver’s license are not eligible. The role demands compliance with strict background and vaccination policies and readiness to work in a highly specialized clinical environment. Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
