• Call Requirement: 1-2 shifts per week
• Weekend Shifts: Every 3rd weekend

Required Experience

• Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years in specialty
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (unit accepts first-time travelers)

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Pennsylvania
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted
• NURSYS Verification required for RN license
• Other certifications as applicable to Cath Lab nursing

Required Qualifications & Competencies

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience with a minimum of 3 years
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam completed within 90 days of start, signed by a licensed provider
• Negative 9 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start
• Respirator Fit Test within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Respirator clearance (RespSafety) prior to start
• Immunizations and titers as required:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (series, declination, or positive titer)
  • Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses) or approved exemption
• TB testing: QGold/TSpot within 90 days or 2 PPDs per facility policy, updated annually
• TB Questionnaire if history of positive TB, updated annually

Background & Compliance Checks

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Social Security trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide sex offender check
• Education verification of highest degree (ASN/BSN for RN)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 1 year of start
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprinting (FBI fingerprinting) required, results must be dated within 5 years of start
• Child Abuse Search (Pennsylvania) - cannot start with results pending

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion and review of facility-specific modules including:

  • Medication Exam Answer Sheet
  • Suicide Precautions Quiz (must score 80% or higher)
  • RN Modules relevant to assigned units (e.g., BH, OR, Med Surg, ICU, etc.)
• Personal appearance policy review
• Confidentiality agreement signed prior to start
• Photo for badge meeting specific guidelines (plain background, no hats, no sunglasses, etc.)
• Annual training modules completed prior to start
• References: 2 professional references required
• Employment application required
