Job Description

• Work setting: Outpatient
• Shift: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
• Patient population: Primarily outpatient chronic, acute, and post-op orthopedic conditions with occasional neurological conditions
• Charting system: Epic

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist
• Prior travel experience not required

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Texas Physical Therapist License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Manual Therapy and Hand Therapy certifications preferred but not required

Required Qualifications & Compliance

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in an outpatient setting
• Experience in a rehabilitation setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid Driver’s License/State ID
• Background checks including 7-year history, education verification, and federal exclusions (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG)
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
• Immunizations and health requirements:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella (positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start

Additional Requirements

• Completion of competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
• Annual skills checklist and work history verification for the past 7 years
• Photo for badge identification

Notes

• Candidates residing in certain Texas counties are not eligible for travel contracts in this state.
• Orientation and onboarding requirements must be completed prior to start.
