Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Telemetry nursing role with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5
Required skills and experience include:
- EPIC experience (required)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Certification (prior to assignment)
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Oxygen protocol management
- Non-invasive airway management
- Management of drips
- Peripheral and central line care/management
- Blood product administration
- Isolation precautions and PPE use
- Computerized documentation
- Rapid response team activation
Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience required

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Competency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Oxygen protocol management skills
Non-invasive airway management skills
Management of drips
Peripheral and central line care/management
Blood product administration experience
Rapid response team activation experience
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
