Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Telemetry nursing role with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5
  • Required skills and experience include:
    • EPIC experience (required)
    • BLS and ACLS certifications
    • NIH Stroke Certification (prior to assignment)
    • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
    • Oxygen protocol management
    • Non-invasive airway management
    • Management of drips
    • Peripheral and central line care/management
    • Blood product administration
    • Isolation precautions and PPE use
    • Computerized documentation
    • Rapid response team activation
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience required

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
  • Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Competency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Oxygen protocol management skills
  • Non-invasive airway management skills
  • Management of drips
  • Peripheral and central line care/management
  • Blood product administration experience
  • Rapid response team activation experience
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
