Description

Job Opportunity: EMG Technologist (Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics)

Location: McLean, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5x8 hour shifts
  • Work Setting: Physician Office required; Adult Inpatient preferred
  • Equipment: Cadwell preferred
  • Primary work location in Washington DC with possible travel to satellite clinics

Required Qualifications

  • Valid EMG Technologist license in District of Columbia
  • Minimum 2 years of EMG Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or ARC) required

Additional Requirements

  • Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
  • Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
  • Criminal background check within 90 days of start, including multi-state searches
  • Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), updated annually
  • Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
  • Immunizations and health documentation required:
    • Flu vaccine (or approved exemption)
    • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within the last year, updated annually
    • Documentation of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccines or positive titers
    • Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
    • Varicella vaccine or positive titer
    • Tdap vaccine within last 10 years preferred
  • N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually (client may complete onsite if needed)

Compliance and Competency

  • Completion of facility-specific modules prior to start
  • Background checks including EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG prior to start and monthly thereafter
  • Medication and competency exams as required by facility
  • Annual acknowledgment of orientation safety manual

Notes

  • This position accepts first-time travelers; prior travel experience is not mandatory.
  • Flu vaccination is strictly required unless a medical or religious exemption is approved by the facility.
  • Candidate must be prepared to travel between multiple clinic locations within the region.
