Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Nights, option of 36 or 48 hours per week
Schedule: Every other weekend coverage


Job Description

  • Labor and Delivery nursing on night shift
  • Basic to intermediate fetal monitoring skills required
  • 1-2 years recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
  • Previous travel experience preferred

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, Management of Assaultive Behavior, Chemotherapy certifications as applicable

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oklahoma
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
  • Basic or intermediate fetal monitoring skills
  • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NRP certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Education verification (highest level) required
  • Drug screening (10-panel) within 90 days of start
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
  • Immunizations and titers required:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
    • Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination)
    • Varicella (positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required

  • Scrubs provided
  • Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
  • Employment application and work history verification required
  • References are an internal requirement but not mandatory for clearance
