Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (CST/ORT)

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Days, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Start Date: April 6, 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

An integral member of the surgical team who supports surgeons throughout operations by preparing, providing, and caring for instruments and equipment while maintaining a sterile field.

Required Qualifications

Surgical Technician with at least 1 year of experience
Surgical Technician experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Information

No weekend requirement
No blocked scheduling
On-call is optional (can pick up call if desired, but not required)
Must float as needed within Surgical Services
Physical demands include heavy physical effort requiring standing, walking, or lifting most of the day
Work environment includes potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous chemicals; protective equipment provided and required

Notes

This is a temporary assignment covering maternity leave starting early May
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
