Job Summary

Seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializing in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics for a travel contract position.

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of EPIC experience
• Minimum 1 year of specialty experience (Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics)

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC only, RQI acceptable
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only, RQI acceptable

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in South Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience in an outpatient setting
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Experience with Epic
• Driver’s License (required ASAP for computer access and must be carried on duty)
• Background check within 7 years, completed within 12 months of start date
• E-Verify or attestation
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Drug screen within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Immunizations and health documents including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if working in high-risk areas)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B documentation or declination
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved exemption (not required for remote workers)
• Respirator Fit Test to be completed onsite during orientation (N95 masks commonly used)

Compliance & Training Requirements

• Online orientation modules to be completed within 72 hours of assignment
• Pre-assignment testing (medication and arrhythmia tests) with two attempts allowed
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required annually)
• Core Competency Training (Parts I, II, III) annually, including OSHA, patient safety, and ethical care
• HIPAA and OSHA/TJC training acknowledgment
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for RNs and certain techs
• Additional certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., TNCC, ENPC, PALS, NRP)

Additional Notes

• Badge photo required prior to start (passport style, plain background)
• Floating policy and contractor acknowledgment forms must be signed
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
