Job Opportunity: MRI Technologist

Location: South Charleston, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an MRI Technologist to join the Radiology - MRI department. The role involves performing routine MRI exams including prostate and breast MRI, as well as scanning pacemakers, implants, and stimulators.

Work Environment & Equipment

• Department has 3 MRI scanners/rooms
• May float/cover other areas within the hospital and outpatient facility
• Average 15-20 scans per scanner per day
• Uses EMR (EPIC) and PACS (FUJI Synapse) systems
• Equipment brands: GE, Siemens

Schedule & Shifts

• Shift: 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• No self-scheduling; block scheduling in place
• Rotating weekends required
• No holiday work required
• Rotating call/standby required
• Orientation: 5 days, 8-hour shifts rotating between 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM and 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM, including rotating weekends and call

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified MRI Technologist through ARRT or ARMRIT in MRI
• West Virginia State Licensure as MRI Technologist
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Minimum 1 year MRI experience preferred
• Must be able to start IVs

Additional Information

• Scrub color: Black (scrubs not provided)
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) on staff
• Radiologist coverage available in-house at hospital and outpatient center
